The origin of float glass is generally Xinyi, CSG, Taiwan Glass, Qibin, Jinjing. Because the ingredients and processing techniques of each original film manufacturer are different, the same color is used, the color will have a little color difference, and the products with strict requirements cannot be mixed. According to the appearance quality, float glass is divided into three categories: superior product (mirror level), first grade (automobile grade), and qualified product (building grade). The mirror-level is generally used for mirroring in mirror factories, and automotive-grade original films are generally used in construction.

The specific gravity of flat float glass is 2500kg/m3, and the weight of float glass of 1mm thick is 2.5kg per square meter.

The measurement method of ordinary float glass is generally calculated by "weight box", which is a unit of measurement for calculating the material and cost of flat glass. The engineers want to count the output, not the area unit, but only the weight unit. That is, heavy box calculation.

A weight box is equal to the weight of a 2mm thick flat glass 10m2 (weight about 50g), calculated as follows:

1. Calculated volume: the volume of 10m2 flat glass 10m2 is 0.002m*10m2=0.02 cubic meters

2, the specific gravity: the specific gravity of the glass is 2500kg / cubic meter, which is a constant

3, the weight: 2mm thick flat glass 10m2 weight is 0.02 cubic meters * 2500kg / cubic meters = 50kg
