“Curved tempered glass”
Curved tempered glass
Tempered Glass is a safety glass. It is produced in the same way as tempered glass. It is heated to provide compressive stress to the glass to enhance the strength of the glass. Therefore, the curved tempered glass has the same strength design value as the tempered glass, and its special shape makes it have better wind pressure resistance than the tempered glass. The crushing method is the same as that of tempered glass. The obtuse-angled fine particles are not harmful to the human body. The usual curved tempered glass is in a straight arc shape, and the original float glass is heated to soften, and then the glass is bent into a desired shape by its own weight or an external pressing force, and then formed by uniform and rapid cooling. The processing equipment for curved tempered glass is usually formed by adding a curved section after the segment on the “flat steel furnace” to form a “flat-bend integrated tempering furnace” as follows:
use
Curved tempered glass is generally used for curved curtain glass walls, daylight sheds, sightseeing elevators, indoor partitions, interior decoration, furniture, etc.
Processing limit
Bending tempered glass generally has the following requirements for glass thickness, size and radius of curvature: 1. Glass radius R≥1.2 m with thickness ≤6 mm; 2. Glass radius R≥1.6 m for thickness ≥8 mm; 3. Arc length ( ⌒) Generally no more than one-half of a circle. Calculation of bending radius
Generally, the chord length and arch height of the curved arc are measured, and the chord length L and the arch height h are measured, and the radius is R: R = [(L / 2) square + h square] / 2h according to the wind pressure performance
The wind-resistant performance of curved tempered glass is stronger than that of flat tempered glass. The following are comparative data:
The difference between hot bending glass and curved tempered glass
Hot-bending glass is a curved glass made by heating and softening the cut flat glass in an electric furnace in a mold and then annealing. The Mohs hardness of hot-bent glass and curved tempered glass is the same 6.8, but the hot-bent glass is not tempered glass. There is no difference between the broken glass and the untempered glass after the glass is broken. The impact resistance of the bent tempered glass is the hot-bending glass. -5 times, the bent steel is greater than or equal to 90 kg/cm 2 , and the hot bend is less than or equal to 45 kg/m 2 . Hot-bending glass has the advantage that the shape can be complicated and varied. It can be made into various irregular curved surfaces according to requirements. It is suitable for use as glass furniture, glass aquarium, glass wash basin, glass counter, glass decoration and so on.
